I replaced my old WordPress site in a matter of days, entirely through chat with Claude, on the hosting I already had. It’s faster, cleaner, and scores 100 on every Google Lighthouse check.

My old portfolio ran on WordPress. I replaced it in a matter of days, entirely through chat with Claude, and put the new site on the same hosting and domain I already had. Every old page address still works, so links and search results don’t break.
That’s the point of this project: with AI alone, an existing website can be made better and faster, without new infrastructure. I set the direction and made the calls: the story, the structure, the look, and what makes the cut. Claude wrote the code, drew the newer banners, ran the checks, and shipped each update.
A small Python script builds every page from one content file, so a change in one place updates the whole site. Every update gets the same checks as the launch: each page is tested at phone size with larger text, Lighthouse runs again, and each upload is checked against the build.
What’s inside
- Images in modern formats, sized for each screen and loaded only when they’re needed
- Light and dark themes that follow your device, with a switch to change it
- Accessible by design: a skip link for keyboard users, text that holds up when enlarged, and respect for reduced-motion settings
- A preview image for every page when it’s shared, and structured data that tells search engines who I am and what each project is
- A resume that matches the site, written in HTML and turned into a PDF by a script
- Two live app demos that run the real code on sample data
- A contact address answered by its own AI assistant, kept apart from the one that runs my accounts
